Indeed they are! In 2022, we asked students what other languages they learned at home and we discovered that 35.6% of all the students who completed the survey did. Do you want to know what languages they said they speak at home?:

Language is an integral part of our identity and cultural heritage. As the world becomes increasingly globalized, celebrating the diversity of languages becomes all the more important. In recognition of this, we have created a Language of the Term display board to showcase the rich variety of languages spoken by our students.

We have highlighted Malayalam, Shona, and Greek, each with their own fascinating linguistic characteristics and cultural significance. We hope to continue showcasing more languages in the future, so that we can all appreciate and learn from the richness of our linguistic heritage. Let us celebrate the diversity of languages and cultures that make our world so vibrant and unique.
