Today I am talking about my 5 favourite multilingual and multicultural fairy tales. My list includes websites where you can find stories in different languages, but I also recommend some books which celebrate different cultures. I hope you like them!
The Fable Cottage

Lovely website where you can find videos and audios with classical fairytales in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.
Fairy tales channels on Youtube

Contes de fées
Fairy tales in different languages. These are some Youtube channels with fairy tales in a wide variety of languages. They have beautiful animations. I also like the fact that they have subtitles.
Fairy tales from around the world

Travel the world using this interactive map to discover folk tales from other countries. The videos explain the origin of some of the most famous stories.
Multicultural Fairy Tales

If you prefer paper versions, these books would be perfect for you. What I like about them is the multicultural background and nationalities of their heroes.
Cuentos que contagian ilusión

These are not exactly fairy tales, but I like them because their main characters are children with some conditions explained beautifully. They are written in Castilian Spanish as well as in Galician, Basque and Catalan (other official languages in Spain) and in English. They also have audio files and activities for young readers.
Would you have added other websites/books? What is your favourite fairy tale?
