We can’t believe it has been 6 months since we went to the Language Show in London. This year Mrs Lyon and Dr Cabrera Alvarez went with a group of students and they had a really nice day discovering the different career opportunities and learning about trips abroad and new languages. This is what some of the students thought of the day:
“I enjoyed practising my linguistic skills outside of the classroom and being able to speak both French and Spanish to new people. I have learnt about educational trips, work experience and even job possibilities to consider in the future that can be found both in Britain or abroad. I think that perhaps we could have stayed a little bit longer so we could visit more stalls/seminars, but this was not possible due to the time we had to be back in school.” TC Year 11
“I thought that the language show was very good. The show, showed me different languages which I didn’t even know about. The language show has also made me learn a new language which is Gulf Arabic. I am learning slowly but it is coming on well. Another thing about the language show was that the talks were very interesting. I have learnt some basic Turkish which I found fun as well as some basic Japanese. I thought the experience I was given to attend this show was completely worth it and I feel like it was one of the biggest opportunities I have been given.” AA Year 10
