Día de muertos

Día de muertos (Day of the dead) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico from 31st October to 2nd November. In Mexican culture, death is viewed as a natural part of the human cycle. Mexicans view it not as a day of sadness but as a day of celebration because their loved ones awake and celebrate with them.

Our Y8 students have researched about this festivity as part of their cultural homework and they have created some amazing booklets with very interesting facts about Día de muertos. Some have even designed their own máscara de calavera (skull mask).
