Collège de l’Ouche des Carmes

Meet our partner school from Aulney-de-Saintonge!

Collège de l’Ouche des Carmes has been one of our partner schools in France since 2017. Our students have become friends and have sent each other letters and postcards in English and French. They have learned about Christmas in both countries, they have described their towns and they have told each other their plans for the summer.

This year we will work in a very exciting project. We will let you know about it very soon!

Collège de l’Ouche des Carmes is in a beautiful village called Aulney-de-Saintonge which is in Nouvelle Aquitaine (Charente-Maritime), south-west of France. Aulnay was a Gallo-Roman station on the important imperial Roman road between Saintes and Poitiers. The Church of Saint-Pierre d’Aulnay (12th century) is one of the finest surviving Romanesque churches. It is also classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
